PURPOSE:To make the color clear and eliminate the unevenness of color while realize a thin structure, by separating electron guns of colors, placing them sloped to the florescent screen, furnishing them in glass boxes in the direction of a constant angle from the center of the fluorescent screen, and making phosphors of colors radiated directly by the radiating beams. CONSTITUTION:Three electron guns 1 of red R, green G, and blue B, are sloped to a fluorescent screen 2, and set in glass boxes in the directions 90 deg. each from the center of the fluorescent screen 2 respectively. Three phosphors 3 composed of each one of the three primary colors are made into three groups, and L-shape or reverse L-shape shield walls 4 are furnished at the outer sides of the three phosphors of three primary colors. And the beams 5 radiated from the three electron guns 1 excite the phosphors 3 of red r, green g, and blue b in the shield walls 4, and a color image is obtained. Since the beams from the electron guns irradiate directly the phosphors, defects such as uneven colors or low brightness are avoided, and luxurious colors and a clear image can be demonstrated. Moreover, since the electron guns are set sloping independently, the picture tube can be made in a highly thin size.
