PURPOSE:To prevent the adhesion of an ink to a roller even if the ink surface of a transfer medium comes into contact with a feed roller after the ink remaining with out being transferred is cooled, by cooling a transfer medium, after a transfer image is transferred to a recording medium at a transfer part, by a cooling member. CONSTITUTION:A transfer medium 1 is successively delivered from a supply roll 2, and light and heat are applied to the ink layer 1b of the transfer medium 1 in a recording part 3 and a recording head 3a is controlled corresponding to black, red and white image signals to form a negative latent image and the transfer medium 1 is synchronously fed at a repeating cycle of 200ms/line by a feed roller 9 and the ink layer 1b comes into contact with a recording medium 5 under pressure and heating in a transfer part 4 to transfer a transfer image of two black and red colors to the recording medium 5. Next, the transfer medium 1 is released from the recording medi um 5 by a release roller 6 and contacted with a cooling member 8 to be cooled to about room temp. Therefore, even if the side of the ink layer 1b of the transfer medi um 1 is contacted with the feed roller 9, no ink is adhered to a roll pair and the transfer medium 1 is taken up by a take-up roller 10 and, because no slip is generated, feeding accuracy is not lowered. |
