PURPOSE:To ensure smooth gear shifting by providing a gear shifting shock control means which actuates a turbo charger in such a way that the output torque of an internal combustion engine is increased at the same period of time when the output shaft torque of a transmission is decreased. CONSTITUTION:When an actually measured point is in a range of speeds of gear shifting different from the present range of speeds of gear shifting, a gear shifting signal is outputted after an appropriate timing adjustment is made so as to control an internal combustion engine. In case of a timer control, both of the actuation starting time T1 and actuation ending time T2 of an actuator 24 for the feedback pressure relief valve of a torbo charger 17 are set up. Then the actuating starting time T1 is compared with a time TM, and a valve 22 is closed for conducting exhaust gas to the turbo charger side of a pipe line, in case of TM>=T1. As a result, the output of the internal combustion engine is increased. Owing to this constitution, the output of an engine can be increased while speeds of gear shifting are being switched over at the same period of time when the output shaft torque of a transmission is decreased whereby the shock due to gear shifting can be reduced. |
