发明名称 REACTIVE POWER COMPENSATING DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the flicker suppression effect to reduce the loss by operating both of a TCR type reactive power compensating device and an self- excitation type reactive power compensating device when flicker is great but stopping the self-excitation type reactive power compensating device when flicker is little. CONSTITUTION:A self-excitation type reactive power compensating device 3, a TCR type (thyristor controlled) reactive power compensating device 4, and a transformer 5 for furnace are provided in parallel with a power source 1 through a system impedance 2 to constitute the reactive power compensating device of a power system to which a load (like an arc furnace) 6 which generates an irregularly and quickly varying reactive power is connected. The self-excitation inverter type reactive power compensating device 3 compensates the component which the TCR type reactive power compensating device 4 cannot compensate. In this case, a flicker meter 10 is provided to monitor the generated flicker. The self-excitation inverter type reactive power compensating device 3 is operated when the flicker level is higher than a prescribed value, and this device 3 is stopped when the flicker level is lower than the prescribed value, thus reducing the loss.
