PURPOSE:To certainly apply printing not only to the whole of printing paper but also the predetermined area thereof, by a method wherein the printing paper supplied from a paper cassette is fed on the outer peripheral surface of an impression cylinder toward the lower part of a blanket cylinder in such a state that a positioning member is brought into contact with the front end of the printing paper and the position of the printing paper in the advance direction thereof is determined. CONSTITUTION:A paper cassette 14 for mounting printing paper P in a stacked state is arranged in close vicinity to an impression cylinder 2 so as to be positioned in the front side of said cylinder 2 in the supply direction toward a blanket cylinder 13 and a sucker member 32, which sucks the back surface of the printing paper P to feed the same toward the blanket cylinder 13, is provided in the impression cylinder 2 and a positioning member 46 for performing the positional prescription of the printing paper P sucked by the aforementioned sucker member 32 in the advance direction thereof is provided in the impression cylinder 2 so as to be made revolvable by definite quantity to directions the same and opposite to the direction of rotation of said impression cylinder 2. The positioning member 46 is present at stand-up position when the printing paper P is positioned between a paper feed point and a printing point and a contact plate 50 is contacted with the front end of the printing paper P to perform the positioning thereof.
