PURPOSE:To easily discriminate both color difference signal in a signal reproduc ing system by superimposing a signal capable of being a discriminating signal of a pulse form after demodulation on one porch part of the two color difference signals. CONSTITUTION:A Y signal and a C signal are inputted to a matrix circuit 4 and the two color difference signals of R-Y signal and B-Y signal are formed. A color burst signal is added only during the horizontal blanking period of the B-Y signal in a burst addition circuit 5. In a reproducing system, when a synthesizing signal is separated to the two original color difference signals, the color burst signal is detected, thereby, the B-Y signal and the R-Y signal are discriminated.
