PURPOSE:To prevent change of a recorded image due to time lapse by forming a latent image on a light and pressure sensitive paper, developing and fixing it with pressure, and additionally exposing it to harden nonbroken or imperfectly broken microcapsules. CONSTITUTION:An original 11 is placed on an original placing stage 12, and the latent image is formed by irradiating luminous fluxes from a light source 13 on the original 11, and projecting the reflected light through an optical lens 15 on the light and pressure sensitive paper 16. This paper is a recording medium obtained by coating a support with the microcapsules to be changed in hardness by exposure and a color developing agent. The paper 16 is pressed with pressing developing rolls 17 and conveyed in the arrow direction 18. At the time, the paper 16 is irradiated with a proper amount of light from an auxiliary light source 19 to perfectly harden the nonbroken photohardenable microcapsules in the paper 16, thus permitting the color fade of the recorded image to be prevented for a long term by irradiating it with the auxiliary light source after the pressure fixing.
