PURPOSE:To obtain the center gravity of an image with a simple constitution by adding the number of picture elements comprising an image to be measured at the 1st direction coordinate position to contents held in a register, holding the added result in the register and permitting a comparator to compare the result with a set value. CONSTITUTION:The output data of a counter 11 to sequentially update the 1st direction coordinates in a fixed direction specifies an address in a memory 12. Data read out of the memory 12, that is, the number of picture elements comprising the image to be measured at the 1st direction coordinate position, is supplied to an adder 14. It adds said number to the contents held in the 1st register 13, obtains the number of picture elements in the images to be measured up to a coordinate position indicated by a counter 21, and loads the result in the 1st register 13. The comparator 16 compares the result added by the adder 14 with the contents held in the 2nd register 15 in terms of magnitude. The center gravity can be obtained from the coordinates indicated by the counter 21 showing that the added result exceeds the contents held in the 2nd register 15. |
