PURPOSE:To increase a treatment reaction rate and reaction efficiency and to stably obtain a high-grade molten metal by injecting an additive in a heated or molten state into the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:A molten iron 5 and slag gapped from a tap hole 2 of a blast furnace 1 are subjected to a sepn. of the slag by a skimmer 3 and such molten iron 5 is allowed to flow in a molten iron 5 branch spout 4 in the case of a dephosphorization treatment in the molten iron spout. A dehosphorizing agent 8 heated and melted by a thermal spraying burner lance 6 is blown to the molten iron 5 from above the molten iron 5 and while the dephosphorization reaction is induced by the dephosphorizing agent 8 incorporated into the flow of the molten iron 5, the molten iron is run toward the down stream of the branch spout 4. This method is applicable not only to the dephosphorization treatment in the hearth of the blast furnace 1 but also to a preliminary treatment such as dephosphorization in a molten iron pan and torpedo car and other treatments by powder blowing. The method is further widely utilizable for component adjustment, etc.,in a molten metal except the molten iron 5.
