PURPOSE:To simply perform the taking-up of a film in synchronous relation to the rotation of a platen, by transmitting the rotary power of the platen to the take-up roll of the film through the gear provided on a lever for transmitting driving force for taking up the film to a thermal head. CONSTITUTION:When a thermal head 85 is present in a lower side, the can follower 113 of a traction lever 105 is contacted with the the cam 115 of a head arm 89 and a drive gear 112 is held to a state separated from a take-up gear 18. When the thermal head 85 is present in an upper side to press a platen 79, the push-up cam part 116 of the head arm 89 is contacted with the cam follower 113 and the right side of the traction lever 105 is pushed up around a support shaft 106 and the drive gear 112 provided to the left side thereof is lowered to be meshed with the take-up gear 18. By this mechanism, a take-up roll 46 can take up a necessary amount of the film 48 sent out from the space between the platen 79 and the thermal head 85 with the rotation of the platen 79 by definite friction torque along with the rotation of the platen 79.
