PURPOSE:To obtain the titled equipment wherein it has a compact structure and filtered water quality is enhanced and amount of drainage after washing is minimized by combing a horizontal flow filtration system and a fixed bed backflow system. CONSTITUTION:In a filtration process, raw water is allowed to flow in the horizontal direction through a raw water chamber 6 which is space formed by a tank body 1 and an outer supporting wall 2 and filtered in a filter chamber 7 which is space formed by the outer supporting wall 2, an inner supporting wall 3 and a supporting bed 5 and collected in both an outer catchment chamber 10 which is space formed by the inner supporting wall 3 and a catchment wall 4 and an inner catchment chamber 11 which s space of the inside of the catchment wall 4 and taken out to the outside of the system as clarified water. After performing filtration for definite time, filtration is interrupted to be shifted to a washing process. In the washing process, air and clarified water are allowed to flow through a washing water chamber 12 which is space formed by the tank 1 and the supporting bed 5 and filter sand 9 being a filter medium is washed and its drainage is collected in a drainage chamber 13 which is space formed by the tank 1 and the top surface of filter sand 9 and taken out to the outside of the system.
