PURPOSE:To form a tough film, by a simple apparatus employing such a method that a powder fluidized coating box is filled with compound powder paint containing a cement powder or a gypsum powder in a suspended state in said box in a wet state to adhere the paint to said article before drying the same under heating. CONSTITUTION:Compound powder paint prepared by adding 5-15wt% of a cement powder or a gypsum powder to powder paint of an epoxy resin or acrylic resin type is received in a powder fluidized coating box to fill said box in suspended state by air introduced. An article to be painted of which the surface is wetted with water by dipping is received in said box to adhere the powder paint to said article. Whereupon, the moisture on the surface of the article to be painted is absorbed by the cement powder or the gypsum powder to bring the surface of said article to a drained dry state and the cement powder or the gypsum powder comes to a crystalline cured fine powder. The powder paint is melted by baking to surround the fine powder in a dispersed state and a paint film well closely adhered to the article to be painted is formed.
