PURPOSE:To shorten the processing time of a micro-computer (hereinafter, a micon), by finding out an electrical angle corresponding to each carrier cycle, with the micon, and by storing a value corresponding with the electrical angle, to determine pulse width. CONSTITUTION:A pulse controller PC receives synchronous signal SS from a power source S through an input device I and determines an electrical angle corresponding to a carrier cycle by a timer T. A current comparator C compares current command ic with output current io detected by a current transformer CT, and its difference ie is converted to digital signal to be applied to the input device I. An arithmetic unit CPU calculates pulse width according to a specified formula through a conduction factor determined by the electrical angle and the current difference ie to generate pulse width command PS through an output device O. Then, a pulse generator PG determines pulse width and distribution method, and applies control signal to a converter via a pulse amplifier PA.
