摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device comprising a liquid crystal shutter array which has less number of driving circuits, needs no high breakdown strength circuits, and capable of shortening of the recording time by constituting a BBD type charge transfer circuit of capacitors and a thin film transistor. CONSTITUTION:Charge transfer clock lines phi1 and phi2 are connected alternately to each base side of every other ones of the transistors T1'...T2N'. Picture information signals are inputted from an input terminal Is serially, and the phi1, phi2 are alternately made active, and the charge stored in respective capacitors C1-C2N i.e. the picture information accordingly are sequentially transferred. During the said process, the information charges are stored in every other ones of the capacitors, and useless information charges are held in the other ones of the capacitors. Therefore, upon the completion of the transfer, significant information charges are held in odd-number-th capacitors, but in even-number-th capacitors are the meaning less information charges held. Hence, a signal transfer circuit 9 transfers only the picture information in odd-number-th capacitors to liquid crystal picture elements D1-DN.
