PREPARATION OF FLUORORESIN FILM

PURPOSE:To prepare a thin film of a fluororesin without utilizing an extruder by dropping a fluororesin powder on the high temp. liquid surface heated above the m.p. and melting it. CONSTITUTION:A storage bath 11 for a molten inorganic salt equipped with a heater 10 being kept at a temp. above the m.p. of a fluororesin is stirred by means of a stirrer 15. A fluororesin powder being storaged in a fluororesin tank 14 is dropped on the inorganic molten salt from a nozzle 16. The dropped powder 17 is quickly melted to spread to a thin film, which is thereafter wound up to obtain a fluororesin film 13. A thin film whose thickness is 5-8mum can be obtained by this method.
