PURPOSE:To enhance weatherability, by painting and impregnating wooden-based outdoor fittings with a non-yellowing urethane impregnant in a process for the painting pretreatment of said fittings. CONSTITUTION:A non-yellowing urethane impregnating treatment agent to be used is prepared by compounding a polyester polyol with Mn=200-2,000 and/or arylic polyol with Mn=500-6,000 and non-yellowing polyisocyanate in a compounding ratio of hydroxyl group/isocyanate group=1/0.2-1/2(equivalent ratio). Further, a penetration enhancer may be added to this mixture system and the obtained treatment agent is applied to a wooden based material to be infiltrated therein and cured. Subsequently, a non-yellowing urethane sizing sealer is applied to the surface coated with the treatment agent as a finish agent and, after curing, the surface is polished and non-yellowing urethane top coat is further applied.
