PURPOSE:To make the output in different colours of required information possible, by possessing the control means controlling the output means outputting by changing colour on the basis of the results of the discrimination means discriminating the kind of characters such as numerals, alphabets, etc. by discriminating the code information stored in a memory means. CONSTITUTION:When a power is source is turned on, the clearing of the document memory in RAM, the initialization of a cursor position coordinate, and the clearing of the total character number in a text are carried out at step S1. The state of key input waiting is kept in step S2 and the process proceeds to step S6 when the process is discriminated as a printing key. A printer pointer is zero cleared herein and one character in the document memory is taken out according to the contents of the printing pointer. Gothic code is discriminated, a colour change signal is sent to a printer and the printing of one character is performed. Further, the printer point is advanced by one step. Then, the total character number in the text and the printer pointer are compared. When all the characters are completed, the process returns to step S2 and the key waiting it kept.
