PURPOSE:To provide the titled resin producible by a specific method, containing isocyanurate ring, urethane bond and (meth)acryl group, having excellent mechanical strength, heat-resistance, etc., curable with electron beam and giving a magnetic recording medium having excellent durability. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin containing isocyanurate ring, urethane bond and (meth)acryl group is produced by reacting (A) a compound having NCO group and isocyanurate ring with (B) a compound having hydrogen and (meth) acryl group and reactive to NCO group of the component B, usually in the presence of a solvent preferably at 40-80 deg.C. The component A is produced e.g. by reacting a polyvalent isocyanate compound such as 2,4-tolylene diisocyanate in the presence of a trimerization catalyst. The component B is preferably 2-hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate.
