PURPOSE:To reduce mortality of artemia and efficiently rear the artemia useful as a biological feed for rearing larval and young fishes and crustaceans at a high density, by keeping concentration of dissolved oxygen in a culture fluid at a specific value or above in rearing the artemia. CONSTITUTION:The concentration of dissolved oxygen in a culture fluid for rearing artemia, normally natural or artificial seawater is kept at >=3ppm to carry out rearing of artemia. In order to keep the concentration of the dissolved oxygen at >=3ppm, e.g. 1 ton culture fluid is aerated with compressed air at >=10l/min by a compressor, etc. |
