PURPOSE:To constitute a differential gear by spur gears so as to form the differential gear in a compact size narrowing its lateral width while in light weight, by providing output gears of right and left output shafts, which are concentrically arranged being able to rotate independently, and a holder gear while the first and the second planet gears which are rotatably supported to the holder gear and meshed with the right and left output gears. CONSTITUTION:Output gears 6, 7 of right and left output shafts 2, 3, which are concentrically arranged being able to rotate separately, and a holder gear 5 are provided, while the first and the second planet gears 9, 10, which are rotatably supported to the holder gear 5 and meshed with the right and left output gears 6, 7, are provided. And if the holder gear 5 is driven by a prime mover, the right and left output shafts 2, 3 come to differentially rotate so that an averaged value of their respective speeds is equalized to the averaged value of speed of the holder gear 5. Accordingly, a differential gear, which is constituted of each spur gear provided in the output shafts 2, 3, is formed into a very small size especially narrowing the lateral width, and the differential gear can be constituted in a compact size and in light weight.
