PURPOSE:To perform a vegetating and protecting work for a slope by a method in which boxes with through holes are connected with each other and a plant is grown in the boxes. CONSTITUTION:Boxes 6 consisting of a bottom plate and side plates having through holes 5 are packed with soil 8 with a fibrous material 7 laid inside and connected on a slope for fixation. A plant 3 for vegetating and protecting work is grown in the soil 8 in such a way as to enable the roots of the plant to expand into the soil of the slope. By the vegetating and protecting work, the degradation or run-off of the slope by rain water can thus be prevented.
