<p>PURPOSE:To automatically and exactly detect the generation of a chatter mark by detecting the change of the oscillation frequencies of a work roll and back up roll and the oscillation amplitude and oscillation value of the work roll and making diagnosis by combining said values. CONSTITUTION:Oscillation acceleration sensors 5, 6 are attached to the work roll 1 and the back up roll 3 and the outputs thereof are converted to voltages by F/V converters 9, 12. The change of the oscillation frequencies obtd. by dividing such voltages by a divider 13 is compared with a reference value Refl in a comparator 14. The oscillation signals of the work roll 1 from a filter 8 is inputted to a divider 15 and the amplitude valve is obtd. by dividing the peak value and average value in the divider 15. The amplitude value is then compared with Ref2 in a comparator 16 and the oscillation acceleration value is compared with Ref3 in a comparator 17. An alarm device 19 is triggered via an AND circuit 18 when all the three signals exceed the reference values. The generation of the chatter mark is, therefore, automatically and exactly detected.</p> |
