CONSTITUTION:Data (a) of an incoming-side plate thickness, etc., are gathered from mill stands 8 and 9 executing rolling by an actual result value gethering device 4, and a memory control circuit 2 writes the incoming-side plate thickness, an outgoing- side plate thickness, etc., in a memory 1. When a rolling schedule (e) of materials to be rolled in inputted, the memory control circuit 2 reads out data (c) in the memory 1, and an operating circuit 3 uses data (c) to operate approximate equations (d) of the first degree corresponding to the rolling schedule. Operated material plasticity curve Cp and rolling mill elasticity curve CEg are displayed before rolling, and each approximate equation (d) can be corrected with a set change signal (f) on demand. The operating circuit 3 transfers approximate equations (d) to a control part 6, and actual result values (a) of the incoming-side plate thickness, etc., of rolled materials are inputted from the actual result value gethering device 4 to the control part 6, and the control part 6 solves approximate equations to calculate a roll gap or the like, which should be changed to attain a desired outgoing-side plate thickness, and outputs it to each controller as a command value.</p>
