PURPOSE:To read a bar code in a short time even in the vibrating time of the end face of a printed board, by indicating the read scan of a bit of print information (bar code) printed on the end face of a plate-shaped equipment vibrating in a prescribed cycle of vibration, with a random cycle and for a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:The end face if a printed board 2 is vibrated with the prescribed cycle at the holding time of it by a holding part 1. The read cycle of the bar code printed on the end face is scanned for the prescribed time with a sampling obtained by a random pulse generating from a random pulse generating part 21 which fluctuates at random for a prescribed period. In such a way, the read possible are of the bar code, and a sampling time are coincided, and synchronizing probability is increased, and the read of the bar code can be performed in a short time even in the vibration time of the end face of the printed board 2.
