PURPOSE:To light an LED which notifies shortage of water before the humidifier becomes unable to humidify by providing a first lead switch for controlling display means, and a second lead switch for controlling oscillating means, and operating these switches with a time difference produced by a float so that the first lead switch operates ahead of the second switch when a water level is lowered. CONSTITUTION:When water in a tank 13 becomes empty, the water level of a water storage tank 3 is lowered, a float 19 is lowered, a magnetic force of a magnet 18 is weakened, a first lead switch 16 is turned OFF, a current flows between the anode and a cathode of an LED 22, the LED 22 is lighted, the water storage tank 3 goes to a water shortage state, and it is notified that water supply to the tank 13 is necessary. When humidification is started, a second lead switch 17 is turned ON, and an oscillating transistor 21 is turned OFF to stop the oscillation of a vibrator 9 and also to stop the humidification. By operating the first lead switch and the second lead switch with a time difference, shortage of water is notified to the user before the humidifier becomes unable to humidify to prevent the vibrator from burning.
