PURPOSE:To obtain a good charge imparting material superior in durability during use in friction with a toner by attaching guanidine substituted by condensed polycyclic groups to the surface of the material. CONSTITUTION:The charge imparting material has on the surface the guanidine substituted by the condensed polycyclic groups. The guanidine is positively charged by rubbing it with an iron powder or the like and the substitution by said groups enhances such triboelectrifiability. The guanidine is substituted by the >=2 condensed polycyclic groups, thus permitting the obtained charge giving material to have superior charge control performance and stability against heat and humidity. |
