PURPOSE:To enable the complete combustion of crude fuel even under a lower excess air ratio by injecting high-pressure heated water into a combustion chamber through high-pressure heated water injection valves nearly at the same time as fuel injection. CONSTITUTION:High-pressure water having been forced out under a high pressure by a high- pressure feed water pump 10 and passing through supply water heating pipes 12, 12 is heated while receiving the heat of combustion gases to become a high-pressure and high-temperature condition, and is sent to high-pressure heated water injection valves 13, 13. And when the pressure of high-pressure heated water exceeds a valve opening pressure, the high-pressure heated water is injected into a combustion chamber 4 through an injection hole of each valve. Herein, since the timing in which fuel and high-pressure heated water are injected into the combustion chamber 4 through fuel injection valves 3, 3 and high-pressure heated water injection valves 13, 13 is set so as to approximately at the same time, the fuel injection in the direction of arrow (a) and the high-pressure heated water injection in the direction of arrow (b) are simultaneously caused in the combustion chamber 4 so as to be combined. Thus, very strong swirling flow is caused in the interior of the combustion chamber 4, so that the momentum of spray is increased to increase the intake amount of surrounding air, enhancing the mixing performance of atomized fuel and air.
