PURPOSE:To more suitably control humidity by dealing with the latest humidity data before a detecting value comes to be abnormal even when a humidity detecting element is brought to a condition which in unable to execute the sensor function. CONSTITUTION:From the output side of an abnormality deciding control circuit 27 to a memory circuit 35, a control signal is outputted in which rewriting is prohibited and reading can be executed. The memory circuit 35 prohibits writing of the humidity data from a humidity input deciding circuit 15 and outputs memory data stored before a humidity detecting element 10 went into an abnormal condition to an output control circuit 36. A detecting value Vf to appear on the output side of a humidity detecting circuit 8 comes to be a value Vfz corresponding to the relative humidity (for example, 60%) due to an impedance Z. Consequently, when the humidity detecting element 10 comes to be the abnormal condition, an indoor humidity is judged to be the set relative humidity and based on the comparing output of the detecting value Vfz and set values Vr2, VR3,...Vrn1, the humidity control is executed.
