PURPOSE:To feed a developer without dirtying periphery by providing the titled device with a housing having a space storing a developer cartridge formed by an elastic film in a state of stretching a part of a developer storing container and a means for destroying the elastic film of the cartridge. CONSTITUTION:The developer cartridge 11 airtightly sealing the developer in it is inserted into the space of the developing device 20 and held by a guide plane 26 and a cover 22 is closed. At that time, a handle 17 of the cartridge 11 is slightly projected from the cover 22 and pressed by the cover 22. Then a lever 28 is depressed to destroy the stretched elastic film 12A by a needle 27 fitted to the tip. The developer 13 is fed to a lower hopper 24 by the action of gravity. Consequently, the developer can be easily supplied without dispersing it to the outside of the developing device 20. |
