PURPOSE:To provide a high activity at a low temperature, a durability at a high temperature, a long life and to restrict a generation of NOx by a method wherein a catalyst is made in two-stages, the front and rear stage catalyst is of noble metal and an active carrier of the rear stage catalyst is of a lacked perovskite structure. CONSTITUTION:Fuel injected from a combustion nozzle 1 is mixed with combustion air 3, its mixture gas at first flows into a front stage catalyst 8a and then flows into a rear-stage catalyst 8b, thereafter it is discharged to a turbine nozzle 7. A layer of active carrier of the front stage catalyst 8a is a layer which is a mixture of a noble metal an a rare earth metal with an active carrier, for example, alumina. In view of an affinity with noble metal and activity, gamma-alumina is preferable. The noble metal to be used here is a palladium (Pd). The active carrier to be used in rear stage catalyst 8b is of a lacked perovskite structure in which alumina and rare earth are present which a weight ratio (rare earth metal/alumina) of more than 1 and the noble metal is platium (Pt) or platium alloy. |
