The invention relates to a removable, pivoting and sliding flag support device for poles of conical tube shape or similar poles, with an internal halyard and a rotating pommel or similar devices, equally applicable to cylindrical poles. The flag 17 is hooked onto a movable stem 11, drawn along the pole 1 by sliding vertically 8, which stem 11 in its upper end position then leaves its vertical guide 8 and simultaneously is rendered integral with the rotating pommel 2 which holds it by tension on the halyard 4. This stem 11 carrying the flag 17 is held parallel to the axis of the pole 1 by insertion of its upper end 12 into the underside 6 of the pommel 2, and by insertion of its other end 23 into a circular horizontal rail 10 incorporated into the pole 1, on the inside of which it circulates freely. This stem 11 which is manoeuvrable from the bottom of the pole 1 also follows, in its upper position, all the multiple circular fluctuations of the flag 17 and prevents it being wound around the pole 1 under the effect of air turbulence. <IMAGE>
