The device allows regulation of the crossing of road and street crossroads. It comprises, near each crossroads entry, three-position signalling means 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d upstream from the latter, and at a distance constituting a braking and waiting area for vehicles 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, four-position presignalling means 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d and means for synchronising the presignalling means 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d with the signalling means 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d.
