PURPOSE:To secure a positive braking action with simple operation even in case driving force at idling is increased, by controlling an automatic transmission so as to cut off transmission of the driving force of an engine at time of brake operation when the engine is cold. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle 1 runs as it transmits driving force of an engine 2 to each of driving wheels 4 via an automatic transmission 3. And, when the engine 2 is cold, there is provided with a cold start increment device 6 which increases a suction air quantity or a fuel supply and raises the extent of rotational frequency of the engine 2. In this case, transmission of driving force and alteration of speeds (a transmission gear ratio) are controlled by a shift controlling device 5. Also there is provided with a deceleration detecting device 8 which detects a brake operation state from pedalling operation or the like of a brake pedal 7. And, on the basis of each output out of these devices 6 and 8 as aforesaid, a cutoff device 9, outputting such a signal that cuts off the transmission of the driving force of the engine 2, is additionally installed in the shift controlling device 5.
