The invention relates to a composition for washing the hands, which will find application especially in the industrial field. The composition is formed of a mixture of water and of solvent of the isoparaffinic aliphatic type, as well as a nonabrasive filler such as wood flour. According to the invention, the solvent contains, in the emulsion form, surface-active agents such as sodium lauryl sulphate and nonylphenol 9 or 10 EO, as well as a foaming agent, which promotes the detergent action of the surface-active agents, such as a monoethanolamide of coconut oil fatty acid or diethanolamide of coconut oil fatty acid. The invention will find application very particularly in the field of industrial hygiene.
