The improved false-twist device for spun fibres carries out both the false twist and the control of the fibres. It consists of a rod 3 twisted helically on itself along its longitudinal axis and movable in rotation about said longitudinal axis. A baffle 4 located at the downstream end of the rod 3 makes it easier to twist the spun yarn 1. The surface of the rod in close contact with the fibres ensures the control of the latter, particularly when they must slide relative to one another. The rod is seated on the inside of and is fixed to a tube driven in rotation about its longitudinal axis. <IMAGE>
