Equipment layout relating to the gas flows drawn off from two regenerators 4 and 21 of a catalyst in a fluid-bed catalytic cracking unit. According to the invention the flue gases from the regenerator 4 are sent to a turbine 35, the pressure in this turbine being lower than the pressure of the flue gases from the regenerator 4, while the flue gases from the regenerator 21 are sent to another turbine 62. This second turbine 62 may have the same shaft as the first and may operate with a throughput of gas expanding either in the same direction as in the first, or in an opposite direction as shown in the figure. The leaving gases 63 and 34 can be combined either immediately on leaving or after a CO boiler 16 (dotted line 64). <IMAGE>
