The present invention relates to an electric water heater and its manufacturing process. This process is characterised in that the top half-shell is placed on the assembly thus formed, the two half-shells are welded together along their transverse junction plane, a pressurised fluid is injected into the internal bottle and then the metered components of an insulating foam are injected, via a hole provided in the upper half-shell, into the space existing between the internal bottle and the two welded external half-shells so as to completely fill the space lying between the two internal and external jackets with this foam. <IMAGE>
