PURPOSE:To make the thickness thin, to increase energy density per volume, and to decrease the resistance between an active material land an outer terminal by forming a lead or lead alloy plate in a dish shape by press-molding, and filling a paste-like active material in the inside, and using the flat outside surface as a terminal. CONSTITUTION:A separator 4 is placed between a positive plate 2 and a negative plate 3, and they are mounted in a frame-like insulator 1, and fixed to the insulator with an adhesive 5. A non-return valve 9 comprising a rubber sheet 6, a compressing rubber sponge 7, and a presser plate 8 is mounted in a part of the insulator 1. Dilute sulfuric acid serving as an electrolyte is poured from an exhaust hole 10 to retain in the positive plate 2, a negative plate 3, and a separator 4 or gel. A conductor 11 is obtained by forming a lead or lead alloy plate in a dish shape by press-molding, and its outside is flat and grids are formed in its inside. Thereby, energy density per volume is increased, and the resistance between the active material and an outer terminal is decreased. |
