PURPOSE:To plan to reduce the dimension in the axial direction of an armature, by winding an armature coil around an armature core hooking the terminals of each kind of coil to the tongue of a commutator in the condition where the commutator is temporarily forcibly inserted and then by forcibly inserting the terminals of coil steadfastly into the tongue of the commutator up to the welding position. CONSTITUTION:An armature core 1 has a predetermined numbers of a slot 1a over which an armature coil 4 is wound up. A rotating shaft 2 is fitted to a center hole 1b of the iron core 1. A commutator 3 arranges numerous commutator segments 3A each with a tongue 3a in the circumferential direction held by resin molds 3B, and is forcibly inserted into a commutator mount 2B of the rotating shaft 2 to mount. Before the armature coil 4 is wound over the slot 1a of the armature core 1, the commutator 3 is temporarily forcibly inserted on this side of the end face 2a of the rotating shaft 2 and the coil 4 is wound around. Then, the tongue 3 of the commutator 3 is welded to the terminal 4 of the coil and commutator 3 is forcibly inserted tightly enough to complete the fabrication.
