PURPOSE:To provide a polyurethane paint which has excellent transparency and fillability and fixability to wooden vessels, gives a coating film having excellent long-term stability, elasticity, etc. and is suitable for use in woodworking, by mixing a polyol contg. starch with a polyisocyanate. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of a polyol and starch is mixed with a polyisocyanate to obtain the desired polyurethane paint for woodworking. The amount of starch in the mixture of the polyol and starch is 5-60wt% and the particle size of starch is 2-100mum. Since the resulting polyurethane paint for woodworking contains an appropriate amount of starch having an appropriate particle size in the mixture of the polyol and starch, the filling of the paint into wooden vessels can be smoothly carried out and there is no possibility that wood part is readily exposed by polishing. Further, since the refractive index of starch particle is nearly the same as that of the vehicle, lowering in transparency is not caused by priming, etc.
