PURPOSE:To keep the power consumption of an electromagnet constant, by providing a current control means to control the current so as to feed it constantly to an electromagnet for levitating a magnetic levitating vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A gap detector 6 outputs a voltage proportional to the space between a track 1 and a magnet for levitation 2 to an adder 8 through a compensator 7. On the other hand, a differential amplifier 14 gives to a integrator 15 a differential voltage between the current V11 served to a magnet 4 and a current set point V13, while a differential amplifier 16 outputs a differential voltage V16 of a space set point V10 between the track 1 and a magnet for levitation 2. The adder 8 adds the output of the compensator 77 and the output voltage V16 of the differential amplifier 16, impressing the summing voltage to a magnet coil 4 through a power amplifier 9.
