The invention relates to very simple coded locks making it possible to monitor the opening of a place on the spot and/or remotely. It comprises a key 1, containing ferrites 2 and introduced into a lock containing a set of circuits 3, 4, 5, 6 making it possible to open a place under secured control by means of a line 8 and of a specialised service 9, 10. For the most useful applications of the invention, mention may be made of the permanent monitoring of premises to which entry is allowed only to a competent department. <IMAGE>
