The integral (full-face) helmet comprises a securing half-skirt 11 shaped as a chin piece which can be moved from front to rear relative to the shell 1 and can be locked on an arch piece 6, for protecting the jaw, by means of a single central bolt. At the front, the movement of the chin piece 11 is pendular due to the link to the arch piece 6 by means of a lever 20, the rear side portions 13 of the chin piece 11 sliding essentially over the shell 1. Unlocking is controlled by pressing, with one hand, on a push-button which is accessible from the front, under the chin piece 11, and locking is effected by means of elastic snap-fitting when the chin piece is pushed back from front to rear.
