PURPOSE:To simply prevent remaining water from freezing and the apparatus from being damaged to improve the safety by opening an electromagnetic valve opening or closing the passage of an overflow pipe when the temperature detected by a temperature detector is lower than the freezing temperature of water for a predetermined period of time. CONSTITUTION:After using a bathtub 2 and bath water is drained, water remains in a space formed by an overflow device 3, an overflow pipe 7 and an electromagnetic valve 10. In this case, when the atmospheric air temperature becomes lowered, the temperature of a thermistor 12 mounted on the surface of the overflow pipe 7 is also lowered, and a signal emitted from the thermistor 12 is judged by a control portion 13. At a point in time where the temperature of the thermistor 13 has reached a certain set temperature at which remaining water is not frozen, a signal to open the electromagnetic valve 10 for a predetermined period of time is emitted to the valve 10 from the control portion 13. As a result, remaining water within the overflow pipe 3 is drained through an overflow pipe outlet 14 and flows back through a circulation pipe 6a and flows out into the bathtub 2. Accordingly, remaining water can be drained before freezing and can easily prevent remaining water from freezing and the apparatus from being damaged, thus improving the safety of the titled apparatus.
