The upper mould part is fitted on a press holm which is pivotable around a horizontal axis line, and so arranged that in its upper position the upper mould part is turned at least slightly upwards so that its mould hollow spaces are visible. The press holm has a cog sector or segment which at least during a part of the press holm movement between the open position of the press and its closure rolls against a vertical cogged rod to promote the pivoting motion of the press holm. The vertical cogged rod is limited in its vertical movement to permit the cog segment, and therefore the press holm, to move vertically during a part of the movement to close the press. The cogged rod is spring-activated towards a rest position, in which the rolling of the cog segment, and the pivoting motion of the press holm are promoted. |
