The wheel suspension is used for driven wheels (1) of a motor vehicle, which are each supported on a wheel carrier (2). The wheel (1) can be driven by means of a drive shaft (8). Due to the horizontal arrangement of the coil spring (9), the drive shaft (8) running through the inside of the coil spring (9), a relatively simple but space-saving construction can be achieved. <IMAGE>
