The fuel fed to the machine (1) consists of hydrocarbons (2) and a mixture of oxygen, hydrogen and air. The mixture is produced in a water tank (12), in which the water is subjected to the dissociation of oxygen and hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst (13), and by heating the water using a source of heat (21). At the same time air supplied by a fan or compressor (23) is fed into the water tank (12). The mixture thus obtained is conveyed by the pipe (7) to the plant or machine either by compression or by suction. In this way it is possible to reduce the proportion of hydrocarbons and the fuel. The mixture fed from the water tank (12), which contains less nitrogen than air, leads to a significant reduction in the exhaust gases, in particular carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide.
|
