TRACING METHOD FOR EXECUTION OF PROGRAM

PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient debug tool by confirming visually the dynamic movement of a program on the basis of the elapsed time of an event when debug is carried out after a combinational test. CONSTITUTION:A program execution tracing program 28 which can output dynamically a program as if it actually moved is set by means of a data file 7 on the collected information stored by a collecting program of a conventional debug-aided tool 4. Thus the program 28 outputs dynamically the tracing information to a CRT based on the file 7. The tracing information includes roughly the passed time point of an EVENT micro, the time series movement of the program and the processing time of each program. Then the movement of the program is shown symbolically with combination of the time, the decision of conditions and a loop. Thus the dynamic movement of a program is obtained.
