This invention contemplates that drying operation should be provided through an air flow, the air inlet of which freely occurs within the rotating drum, while intake is provided through one or more perforated hollow bodies (25) immersed in the mass (C) of rotating particles, as near as possible to the external periphery of the drum. Preferably, the hollow bodies (25) are in number of two and are arranged on either side of the blades (13) provided on the rotating drum. Each hollow body (25) is of elliptical shape in cross-section. Preferably, it is also provided to adjust the angular position of the hollow body (25) or bodies relative to a vertical plane through the drum axis. |
