<p>PURPOSE:To easily switch tape running directions through manual operation by moving a restricting member forward through fast-forwarding or rewinding operation and restraining the motion of a rotation detecting member, and inhibiting energizing force from being transmitted from the rotation detection member to a tape running direction switching mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When the running direction of a tape is switched during reproducing or sound recording operation, the tape running direction switching operation member is moved forth. For example, a changeover plate 31 is moved to right while the magnetic tape is run to right to perform reproducing operation, and right-side gears 44b and 41b and a reed gear 55b engage one another in order and a pinch roller 6b is also pressed against a capstan shaft 3b. When a rewinding operation member 13 is pushed in said state, a bent piece 13b slides and engage a triangular mountain-shaped projection part 34a to move the restricting member 34 forward and upward. Consequently, the rotation transmitting mechanism which transmits turning force from a motor to a reel shaft 2a or 2b selectively operates to rewind the tape to left.</p> |
